Trinity
Early Learning Center, a ministry of Trinity United Methodist Church,
began our 33rd year in August of 2004. The program has grown and evolved
over the years, as we strive to offer a quality pre-school learning enviornment
for your children. We continue to offer a program of planned curriculum
for all
of the age groups that attend. Our staff of 25 teachers offer your child
a loving,
caring atmosphere in which they can grow and develop a pattern for learning.
We
invite you to read all about us, and feel free to contact
us if you would
like more information.
Trinity
United Methodist Church's purpose for the Trinity Early Learning
Center program is two-fold. First it provides parents of preschool children
an opportunity for a period of relaxation away from the responsibilities
for
and the constant attention demanded by the young child.
Second,
TELC ensures that the day the child spends away from home will
be a learning experience. TELC is often the child's first experience with
the
world outside the home: the world of church, school and community. The
staff tries to make this experience a positive one, striving to help the
child
know himself, like himself and learn to express himself. Through interaction
with other children, the child learns to cooperate and share with others
and
to function as a member of a group. The children are guided in developing
concepts of God and the world around them. The program encourages the
development of the whole child.
In
order to reach these goals, the program has small classes, led by
teachers who are interested in young children and enjoy guiding a child's
development. TELC provides equipment for creative play and coordinated
learning program with activities in art, music, science and storytelling.
Trinity
Early Learning Center is licensed and governed by Minimum Stand-
ards for Day Care Licensing through the State Department of Human
Resources. TELC is licensed by a second set of standards by the City
of Arlington. TELC is inspected by the Arlington Fire Department, the
Sanitation Department, and a plumber for gas leaks. A representative from
the State Health Department reviews each child's medical form. Manuals
concerning all of the above standards are available in the TELC Office
for
parents to read.
